Mass Effect 3 to go on “Galaxy at War” multiplayer mode

Looks like brains behind Mass Effect 3’s action have upped the ante a bit, if the newest “Special Forces” trailer video is to be taken at face value. It can be recalled how Mass Effect 3’s multiplayer mode was met with mixed responses when it was first unveiled last October. Bioware must have noticed the same thing and is now taking great pains to improve that as it makes its presence online even more felt.

Producer Jesse Houston says that how the players fare in the online co-op stages will largely determine the fate of Commander Shepard and company at the end. He adds that one’s single-player experience will be greatly influenced by the Galaxy at War system where more success at each stage will translate to a higher Galactic Readiness level that will have a bearing on one’s end game.

The multiplayer mode will have up to four players teaming up, selecting their characters from a wide hodgepodge of characters from various races and classes. They will go through strategic positions and locations throughout the universe to go up against the enemies and foil their attacks.

Don’t hesitate to try this out with three of your friends once it hits PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 in March of this year.
